Lord Bartholomew's Christmas Bride by Maggi Andersen
Synopsis:
A stickler for correctness, Lord Bartholomew Winborne, second son of the Marquess of Brandreth, is about to take up his appointment as a vicar in India. Requiring a suitable wife by Christmas, he has made a list of the most desirable qualities she must possess. The annoying Miss Emily Isherwood appears to have none of them.
My Review: 3.5 out of 5
This is a sweet little short story regency romance.
I liked the story and the characters, it is set at Christmas time, but is not a Christmas story as such. It is the tale of Bart working through his lists and working out what is perfect for him.
Overall a quick, sweet read, approx. 30 pages. A good introduction to me for this author.
Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?
Yes, I would read other books by this author.
Would I recommend someone else to read this story?
Yes, if you are looking for a light Regency romance short story.
