25 Christmas Romance Reads for December
9.
Bah, Humbug! by Heather Horrocks
Synopsis:
Lexi Anderson is an up-and-coming, Martha Stewart-type TV hostess whose two kids love the Jared Strong adventure novels, which happen to be written by their new neighbor, Kyle Miller.
For the first time in his writing career, Kyle has writer’s block--until he sees the snowman on his lawn and realizes it’s the perfect solution to his plot problem. He digs in and discovers two things: one, his villain’s weapon will fit inside a snowman's body, and two, this particular snowman was supposed to be the backdrop for Lexi’s next show.
From this improbable beginning comes friendship, but can there be a happy ending for a woman who is afraid to get close again and a man who has shadows from his childhood?
Families join together and hearts are healed as this couple goes walking in a winter wonderland.

My Review: 3 out of 5
This is a nice little Novella about finding love, family and Christmas spirit.
It is a very light romance and I was enjoying the banter and insults between Kyle and Lexi, it has a few nice family moments and some funny dialogue.
What spoilt it for me was I found the story to have a very unrealistic ending for this day and age Without giving away the plot altogether I would say that if you were reading this, in say a regency romance, then I could see the ending fitting, but set in the modern day, it comes across totally unrealistic and there are better ways to wind up the book.
There is no sexy scenes of any description, it is more of a G Rated romance. A sweet, clean, Christmas Story.
Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?
I like my stories with a bit more bite, but I would read the synopsis and see if I liked the story.
Would I recommend someone else to read this story?
Yes, if you are looking for a squeaky clean Christmas romance, then you would enjoy this quick read.
