My Review: 3 out of 5

This was a good story about finding the one that got away.  It did frustrate me sometimes, just wanted to give her a push, it felt a bit flat in parts, not a lot of sexing.  Has an Environmental Conservation message entwined with the romance.  Was still an OK read.

Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?

I wouldn't go searching for others as a must read, but if one had a good synopsis then I would read it.

Would I recommend someone else to read this story?

Depends on the reader, as a light soft romance, Yes.

It's the summer before college, and what better way to spend it than with friends on the beach.  Love, sand, and the ocean is what awaits them  Can two people with difficult pasts move on?

My Review: 4 out of 5

This was a nice, easy to read, story, it has a lovely romance between Edward and Bella who meet on Summer vacation at the beach. Nothing too heavy, just a little angst and lots of summer romancing.

Two Blue Lines by Payton79 - Twilight Fanfiction

28 August 2015

Two Blue Lines by Payton79

Bella, a good girl, was dumped by her long-term boyfriend.  Edward, a young doctor, is feeling suffocated by his father's plans.  Waking up next to a stranger is a shock for a good girl.  Seeing the girl of your dreams run out on you the morning after sucks for a nice guy.  What if two blue lines will bind the two together for life?  What if they can't even remember how they came to be?

My Review:   3 out of 5

This was a nice family/romance story more a family story than a romance.  It follows Bella and Edward's story of how they handle life when, after a one night stand, she becomes pregnant.  I liked the bad Carlisle angle, it was well written.
There was a lot of, will this be the chapter that one of them finally makes a move, only to get to the end and still no progress, with the characters not moving out of the friends category and heating up until 4 chapters from the end.

Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?

 Yes.

Would I recommend someone else to read this story?

Yes, if you are looking for a light romance family story

Babies on Their Mind by Cecilia1204 - Twilight Fanfiction

Babies on Their Mind by Cecilia1204

Bella is a midwife at Forks Hospital.  She meets the new obstetrician Edward Cullen and the attraction is powerful and instant.  Life in a maternity ward is full of ups and downs.

My Review: 4.5 out of 5

This is a very nice read and a great love story.  It has some good sexy scenes throughout the chapters.  Both Edward and Bella's characters are well written and the story flows really well.  It is very descriptive and goes into depth in a few areas that to me could have been shorter, although if you are interested in medical or midwifery I am sure you would enjoy the well painted descriptions.
That being said however, it is a good story and I would definitely recommend it as one to read.

Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?

Yes, definitely, I loved the writing.

Would I recommend someone else to read this story?

Yes.  One of my favourite sweet romance stories.

Shamrocks and Shenanigans by mathisson

Bella is working for a catering and event planning company.  She has just about pulled off the reception of the year when she's introduced to Edward Cullen, mafia boss.  Can he show her that even bad guys can be good.

My Review:  4.5 out of 5

I love this storyline and the characters as they are written, Bella does not put up with any of Edwards bad behaviour even though he is the mafia boss.  It has some good drama and a plot that keeps you intrigued through out the whole story.  I would have liked a bit more sexy times in it but overall the story is one that I have read several times and would recommend as a good Mobward story.

Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?

 Yes, loved the writing style.

Would I recommend someone else to read this story?

Yes,  one of my favourite Mobward stories.

Forever in Love by Leeanna Morgan - Ebook

Forever in Love  (Montana Brides, Book 2) by Leeanna Morgan

Amy Sullivan's life might have been lonely but it was safe, until she found a baby on her doorstep.  With her alcoholic mother gone, and a five-month-old sister to look after.  Amy has no choice but to give her sister what she never had - a family - and that means moving back to Montana and the only man she's ever loved.

Nathan Gray's life has turned upside down and the last person he wants to see is Amy Sullivan.  Nine years earlier she left him faster than a howling nor'wester and now, burned and broken after a barn fire, he has even more reason to keep his distance.  Only this time fate and a meddling family have other ideas and their lives are about to come crashing down.  Right on top of each other.

My Review:  3.5 out of 5

I read this book directly after reading book 1 in the series.  It has good characters and storyline.  I did feel that the story mentioned a few times a fire as if we knew the details of what happened and the outcome, however, it was not in the first book or in the start of this book, so that confused me a bit.
This book again has the, will they, won't they romance that keeps you reading to find out how they get together.  Still a fairly slow paced romance.  Overall a nice read.

Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?

Yes, I have read other stories by this author so would read more.

My Review: 4 out of 5

I enjoyed this first book in the series, it was an interesting storyline and I enjoyed the characters and settings but it has a slow paced light romance.   A lot of will they, won't they and the story itself finished very quickly, once they made a decision.  It is definitely worth the read though as the writing does keep you interested in the outcome.

Would I read the next in the series or another story by this Author?

Yes, I have read the next story in the series and would look at others by this author.

This Is Not My Life by IsaKassees - Twilight Fanfiction

This Is Not My Life by IsaKassees

Follow Bella as she tries to survive a madman's abduction and keep a stranger's child from succumbing to his wild fantasies, and follow Edward as he tries to stay sane searching for his daughter taken rights before his eyes.

My Review:  5 out of 5

The first half of the story relates to the kidnapping, which is very dark in places, the suspense and mystery keeps you on edge.  The second half of the story relates to the aftermath.   Very well written, good characters and mystery.  Not my normal sort of read, but has turned out to be one of my favourites.

That Thing You Do by Marcia Geraci - Ebook

21 August 2015

That Thing You Do (Whispering Bay Romance Book 1) by Marcia Geraci

Allie Grant doesn't believe in second changes.  She does, however believe in the power of a permanent pay check.  So when a tipster reports that the soon-to-be demolished senior centre in her hometown is haunted.  Allie hightails it to Whispering Bay to get the scoop that could secure her dream job at Florida magazine.  What she finds, though, is far scarier than any ghost.  Cue her ex-boyfriend, sexy construction foreman Tom Donalan.

When Tom catches Allie poking around his construction site, he quickly realizes his former high school flame is just as feisty as ever.  And, heaven help him, her irresistible, mile-high legs still take his breath away. But Tom isn't about to delay the building's demolition because of a silly ghost story.

With neither of the stubborn exes backing down from their opposing positions, sparks fly.  And, underneath the surface, the fire of their old attraction burns as hot as ever.  When strange things start happening with increasing frequency around town, even a tough sceptic like Tom is tested.  The questions is, can Allie and Tom stop fighting long enough to get to the bottom of the Whispering Bay's ghost problem - and the more important matter of mending their broken hearts?

My Review:  4 out of 5

Good storyline covering ghosts, rekindling romance and sexual tension between the main characters.   It is a good easy read, I enjoyed the back and forth arguing between Allie and Tom laced with their past.  Nice lead in with other characters in the town followed up in further books in the series.

My Other Half by Christobel Cullen

Bella is a student at the University of Alaska.  She's fiercely independent, but everything changes when she meets a stranger who refuses to leave her side.  This story explores the subject of vampire mating.

My Review:  4 out of 5

I enjoyed the way Bella meets The Cullen's in this story.  A nice easy read with a lovely romance. Stays true to the Twilight Characters but the writer has put her own spin on the vampire mating and made Bella a stronger woman.

Alpha by Jasinda Wilder - Ebook

19 August 2015

Alpha by Jasinda Wilder

The first time it happened, it seemed like an impossible miracle.  Bills were piling up, adding up to more money than I could ever make. Mom's hospital bills.  My baby brother's tuition. My tuition.  Rent. Electricity. All of it on my shoulders.  And I had just lost my job.  There was no hope, no money in my account, no work to be found.  And then, just when I though all hope was lost, I found an envelope in the mail.  No return address.  My name on the front, my address.  Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of ten thousand dollars.  Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job.  Enough to let me focus on classes.  There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc" and a post office box address for somewhere in the city.  No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything.  No mention of repayment, interest, nothing... except for a single word, on the notes line: "You"  Just those three letters.
If you received a mysterious check, for enough money to erase all your worries, would you cash it?
I did.
Then next month, I received another check, again from VRI Incorporated.  It too contained a single word: "belong."
A third check, the next month. This time, two words. Four letters:  "To me."
The checks kept coming.  The notes stopped.  Ten thousand dollars, every month.  A girl gets used to that, real quick.  It let me pay the bills without going into debt. Let me keep my baby brother in school and Mom's hospice care paid for. How do you turn down what seems like free money, when your desperate?  You don't,  I didn't.
And then, after a year, there was a knock on my door.  A sleek black limousine sat on the curb in front of my house.   A driver stood in front of me, and he spoke six words:  "It's time to pay your debt."
Would you have gotten in?
I did.
It turns out $120,000 doesn't come free.

My Review:  4 out of 5

I found the storyline interesting and the interaction between the characters good,  had some hot sexy scenes throughout and I was captivated enough to have to read it continuously to find out the ending.

"Three months," he kept going in his deep voice.  "You'll probably never be able to do this again."  Three months, three continents, sweaty nights, an uncomfortable bed, ten men, a girl, and a bus.  Bella Swan should have known better than to say yes.

Hacking the Billionaire (Part 1)  by Jenny Devall

Riley is perfectly comfortable being a single code jockey and watching movies at home in her sweats - she's a fiercely independent woman, successful and intelligent, and she has no use for vapid conversations or relationships.  Unless, of course, they are work-related.

Being one of only two women at her computer security firm, she is chosen to work a job for a corporate client with some... special requirements.  In order to not raise any suspicions regarding their security leak, Riley must masquerade as the CEO's latest supermodel conquest, hanging on his arm at various functions as well as around the office, wearing slinky outfits and painfully high heels, and pretending she hasn't a thought in her pretty head.

All because the client insists.

Riley is far out of her comfort zone on this case, and her maddening but handsome playboy client, constantly criticizing and controlling her looks, doesn't make her job any easier.

She can't wait to get back to her movies and sweats, but CEO Dirk Kent seems to have other ideas.  And what Dirt wants, he tends to get.

Ink Inspired by Carrie Ann Ryan

Shepard Montgomery loves the feel of a needle in his hands, the ink that he lays on another, and the thrill he gets when his art is finished, appreciated, and loved.  At least that's the way it used to be.  Now he's struggling to figure out why he's a tattoo artist at all as he wades through the college frat boys and tourists who just want a thrill, not a permanent reminder of their trip.  Once he sees the Ice Princess walk through Midnight Ink's doors though, he knows he might just have found the inspiration he needs.
Shea Little has spend her life listening to her family's desires. She went to the best schools, participated in the most proper of social events, and almost married the man her family wanted for her.  When she ran from that and found a job she actually likes, she thought she'd rebelled enough.  Now though, she wants one more thing - only Shepard stands in the way.  She'll not only have to let him learn more about her in order to get inked, but find out what I means to be truly free.

Bound to the Family by heartfortwilight

A Mafia/BDSM story. A Don who is a Dom; two powerful personalities bound together in one body.  Will it be too much for one woman to handle, or is she exactly what is needed to balance this man.

My Review: 3.5 out of 5

It has a good storyline which I enjoyed, nice romance between Edward and Bella.  But I kept waiting for something to happen only to get to the end and realise it was a carry over to the authors next story. Which I feel or hope will have a lot of the drama I was waiting for in this story.  Only 1 chapter written so far, I hope the author finishes it as I look forward to seeing what happens to the characters.
